George B. Thomas Sr., Learning Academy

Help us continue this great tradition of service to the community! The George B. Thomas, Sr., Learning Academy, Inc., is a tutoring and mentoring program that has been in operation since 1986 and has enhanced the academic achievement of thousands of children in Montgomery County, Maryland. The program serves students in grades 1 through 12 on Saturday mornings from 8:30 am to 11:00 am, October through May at 12 center locations throughout the county. GBTLA is also a member of United Way (Organization Number: 8291).

Rudolph W. Snowden Memorial Scholarship

The major purposes of the Fund are to increase the number of African-American male college/university students and to assist in the preservation of historically Black Colleges and Universities by providing financial incentives for individuals to attend these institutions. Please note: The RWS Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) organization and listed in the United Way/Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) (Designation #9242).
